Quakerdale's Equine Program

 Equine Program

The Equine Program allows youth and families to experience growth and healing.  The program facilitates relationship skills and personal development skills as participants spend time working with horses.  Co-workers, families, friends, and community groups are able to build their communication skills and camraderie through the program's fun challenge and varied intiatives.

Retreat Center

The Center also serves as a conference site for meetings, events, and retreats.  Overnight accomodations, meals, and non-horse character building activities are offered to individuals and groups for an affordable fee.

Schedule a tour, learn more, or make a reservation for your next event, meeting, or retreat by contacting:

Equine Therapy Program (EAP)
Quakerdale's Equine Therapy program is a  preventive and educational service where humans, horses, and hearts are reigned together to bring emotional, mental, spiritual, physical and social growth.

EAP uses horses for emotional growth and learning. The collaboration between the student (youth or adult), equine professional and horse helps participants learn about themselves and others by completing specific activities. EAP is a new and growing field that has proven to be very effective in building confidence, improving communication skills, and providing personal insights that give individuals fresh and effective problem-solving tools.

The Equine Program also travels! In the video horses were introduced to kids at Mobile Camp in Waterloo!
